What is the cost for generator installation?

Installation costs vary from area to area...whether or not you are using an authorized dealer or a licensed electrician.  Variables may include the cost for permit fees, fuel tank installation, gas line installation…custom wiring or custom site preparation (beyond the minimum required by a manufacture).  We can help with an outline on what could be included in an installation. Generac offers a service to have an In-Home Survey done by a local dealer for $89.00, which will be deducted from the installation cost if you decide to go with the local dealers estimate.

Interested in buying a whole house generator for a 2 story home with basement, 4 bedroom, 2 car garage (freezer in garage) in ground pool, how do I choose the size, make, model, winter kit, maintenance, etc. ANSWER: Start by using one of the online wattage calculators. This will give you an idea of the size unit to shop, then get with an installer to confirm the results before purchasing. Here is a link for a calculator on our website. http://www.briggsandstratton.com/generators-pressure-washers/home-generator-systems/buying-guide/
