Briggs & Stratton Model 71055, 100 amp automatic transfer switch with ACCM (Air Condition Control Module). This outdoor transfer switch manages 2 appliances like air conditioning, this will allow you to use a much smaller generator and still have access to your whole panel during a power outage.  Over load protection, never worry that your generator breaker will be overloaded and shut your generator down during outages.

This transfer switch is designed to transfer the loads found in normal residential installations to generator power in the event of a utility power failure. The load is connected to either utility power (normal) or home standby power (generator). The transfer switch monitors utility and generator voltages and will automatically connect to the appropriate source of power.

Briggs & Strattons patented ACCM (Air Condition Control Module) imprints starting wattage of your air conditioner in the control board, monitors usage and "waits" until your air conditioner can be started with the least amount of power, assuring usage while preventing possible overload.
