A Cummins Onan residential home standby generator set offers many features not found on portable generator sets, such as a more sophisticated control system, a fully weather protective enclosure, significantly quieter operation, and more capacity so you can power more conveniences. It goes on automatically when you need it and shuts down automatically once main power is restored. It is connected directly to a fuel system and your home's electrical system so you won't have to fill a gas tank or manually transfer power from the utility to the home standby unit.

Excellent choice for a generator

I had heard about Cummins Onan 20 kW standby generator from one of my co-workers who recommended it because of its compact casing and very quiet operation. We live 2500 square foot home with a really small yard so not only does the lot have little room for big objects but our neighbors are closer than a lot of people?s so it was really important that it did not disturb anyone. We have had our generator now for 3 years now without a single problem. Of course we do get our scheduled maintenance checks which probably help more than we realize.
