Free Shipping is curbside service only. Curbside service means the freight company will deliver to your address and lower your generator to the ground. The freight company will not back down driveways, place a generator in a building or where it is being installed. You are responsible for arranging the movement and setting of the generator.

Product Description

Safely back up essential appliances without extension cords.  During a power outage, skip the hassle of running multiple extension cords from your generator to your appliances.  Instead, connect your Generac portable generator to a permanently installed Generac manual transfer switch.  A Generac manual transfer switch allows you to safely switch from utility to portable generator power in an emergency, and power critical circuits through your home's electrical system.

  • Safe:  Mechanically interlocked generator and utility breakers prevent dangerous backfeeding to avoid injuring utility line workers.
  • Easy to Maintain and Expand:  Interchangeable type circuit breakers make it easy to reconfigure, replace, or expand the circuits in your switch.
  • Powers Hard-Wired Circuits:  Directly powers hard-wired appliances such as your furnace, well pump, and septic pump.
  • Fast, Flexible Installation:  Suitable for flush or surface mounting.

Kit Contents:

  • Transfer Switch:  30 Amp, nema 1 for indoor installation only.
  • Cord: 10 Ft (10/4) with L14-30 ends
  • Power Inlet Box: 30 Amp aluminum raintight, must be hardwired.
  • Install manual, wiring harness, conduit and fittings, wire connectors.

    I just installed this manual transfer switch. It wasn't to hard. I did have to get, new breaker, the thin ones, so I could put in all 16 breakers. I also put in new solid #12 wire and not the #12 strand wire that came with this switch. I do have to make a cover, so the breaker are not exposed. I also need to get the protective cover for the power inlet box. I felt that a cover and the flip lid cover for the plug should have been included.

    Norwall did a great job keeping me up to date on the status of my order. When I received the transfer switch everything was as promised. I was a little surprised by the short length of conduit provided in the box. In addition, I was also surprised that the power inlet box did not include a flip lid to protect the plug from nesting insects. Not a big deal, but installing it after the box is mounted to a wall looks like a pain in the but. Overall, I am satisfied

    All parts included, all worked well, installing electrician pleased with content of package, and best of all it was easy to install and bring on line. He wanted to know what I paid and where I got it, he's going to install a system in his home.
