My second but larger Generac

I ordered the Generac XG8000E because I fried my “smaller” Generac during hurricane Sandy. I have a 2,200 sq ft house with an oil/furnace to heat hot water, a well pump, a septic tank pump, full freezer and a fridge. I wanted a generator to handle all of those items mentioned and of course miscellaneous stuff like lights. We shopped online for days and found that Norwall Power Systems was by far the cheapest by hundreds. A 3-4 week delivery was to be expected because Generac was still back ordered from Sandy. I received it in 4 ½ weeks. I live in NJ and it came from Arizona with no problems. Now about Generac: I have read all of the forums and feedback from customers on several web sites before ordering this unit. Most wear complimentary but you do learn allot from the negative people as well; for instance, filling the fuel tank with more then one gallon of gas when you first try starting it. etc. My neighbor was also there with me because he had just received one larger (1000-12000W) a week earlier and he had big issues for several hours trying to start his. Back to mine; I followed the steps on setting it up for the first time and then came the big moment. Wonderful, it started in a split second. I ran it for 5 minutes and plugged in a hand drill to try all the outlets. I then shut it down to check oil level. Note: I did not have to charge the battery and only put in one quart of oil. Also put in only 4 gallons of fuel. Now I also wanted to check to see if it started when pulling by hand. The same thing, one pull and bingo, success. Needless to say, my neighbor was pissed that mine started with no issues. It turns out with his he had to fill the gas tank almost to the top. Oh well?
I have nothing but praise for NORWALL SYSTEMS and GENERAC.

Received my generator in perfect shape, no dents, all parts included, complete startup instructions. I expected the battery to be low, but it wasn't. Generator fired up immediately and ran perfectly. Initial loading didn't bother it a bit.
Electrician installing the transfer switch I also purchased was pleased with the generator's capacity and ability of the governor to instantly regain RPM drop caused by instant loading to near capacity.
I've recommended it to my friends, and the installing electrician is seriously considering one himself. I gave him one of your business cards you enclosed with my paperwork.

Great product and excellent service during and after the purchase

After 2 big storms in the NYC area last year (hurricane and early snowstorm) we were out of power for over 4 days both times. We wanted an emergency power system that was cost-effective and safe to operate. We chose the XG8000E and decided to purchase it from Norwall as they had all the product information, great prices and their phone support and website materials were very helpful to someone who is not an electrician/expert. Delivery was made as expected (good communication and follow up) and when we had two minor issues with the generator (crushed spare air filter and broken nozzle on the roll over valve) the customer service group contacted Generac and replacement parts were sent out right away. The roll over valve was easy to replace and the generator started up with no issues and connects to our home through a Reliance transfer switch that was installed by a licensed electrician (electrician supplied).
For the money we spent, we got a tremendous value doing business with Norwall and will continue to work with them in the future. We now feel we can safely transition to emergency power when needed and we have greater piece of mind when bad weather moves through the area. Given our success, I wish we had done this sooner.

Let me start at the beginning. I am not an online shopper. But after researching generators and generator dealers I am glad I chose Norwall.They were knowledgeable about the products,and upfront and accurate on the delivery time.I highly recommend Norwall and will be doing business with them in the future. The Generac xg8000E I received is amazing. High quality, very low vibration, much quieter than any of my other generators,and extremely user friendly. Excellent generator,great price from Norwall. Safeguarding your Home against Power Failure with a portable Generator

After sustaining extensive loss of food costs as a result of a sustained local power company failure, I purchased a XP8000E from Norwall Power Systems. The unit was competively prices and in addition was shipped directly from the factory to my home without additional cost. It was wired into the house electrical panel and easily provides the emergency service I need at a moment's notice. The Norwall company representative was courteous and knowledgable. The generator was delivered in advance of the promised date. I have recommended the Norwall Company to a neighbor who subsequently purchased a similar unit.
