Product Description
Generac makes it easy to configure a standby backup power system for your home or business needs. The 36kW liquid-cooled generator is capable of providing standby backup protection for large homes and commercial applications, designed specifically for high demand power generation needs.
Low speed, automotive style liquid-cooled engine runs at only 1800 rpm during a power outage for a substantially quieter generator, greater fuel efficiency, and longer engine and alternator life. Super quiet, super efficient, patented Quiet-Test mode for a weekly test mode that’s quieter than other brands, consumes less fuel and helps make your Generac generator the most environmentally friendly on the market.
Standard aluminum, all-weather enclosure provides the ultimate protection from the elements. Aluminum’s natural corrosion resistance prolongs the life of your generator and is recommended for salt-air, coastal locations.
Generac has created a controller for liquid-cooled models with an improved user interface for easier monitoring and management of the generator functions.

Did not work below 20F new!

Well I do not want to badmouth Generac but my unit was installed the spring of 2010, the first winter when I was testing it, the generator would not produce power when the temperature dropped below 20F. The engine started fine but no power, we had the service people out three times but they never found the problem. After a full season and having it run every Friday as a test the unit somehow cured itself. I then had a new problem just this winter of 2012, I told the control to call for the generator to start but nothing happened. We did a little checking around and found that the rocker switch on the main control panel was not working in the automatic mode. It appeared that the switch which is not a sealed switch became open from the weather and the unit would not receive a signal to start, flipping the switch back and forth fixed the problem and I will install a new sealed switch this summer. Not real happy with my first stand by experience, after all I need it to work when I am not at my plant! Mike from www.Entratech.com

We just had a blizzard that dumped two feet of snow on us. Our power was out for about a day and a half. Our Generac Quietsource 36kw did it's job. If it weren't for the 15 second delay, we would never have known that we were without utility power. I am absolutely sold on these generators. This is my first one, but I will never go without one again!

I love my 36KW Guardian Quiet Source generator, it's so quiet and has more power to spare if needed. I was thinking about purchasing a 27KW Guardian Quiet Source, but for a little more money I decided to get the 36kw, it runs on natural gas and at only 1800 rpm's it's no louder than a condensing unit. It's quiet a conversation piece when folks see it for the first time, and of course, I have to simulate a power outage and they are amazed when it automatically starts up and transfers the load. I named it Big Daddy ! I purchased it from Norwall, they are honest and good folks with fast shipping, I highly recommend them.
