Lowboy II Portable Diesel Generators are rated for portable, prime, and standby power. Two-wire start allows the generator to operate as a standby generator in conjunction with an automatic transfer switch (ATS.)

Portable in the sense that the design allows placement where you need it today, and someplace else tomorrow. The Kubota Diesel Generators come equipped for placement with a lift hook or forklift. The GL7000 weighs 518 pounds dry and the GL14000 comes in at just over 900 pounds.

Each model comes with appropriate receptacles and a terminal option. Receptacles allow use with extension or generator cords. Terminal connections provide connections to a circuit breaker panel as a prime power source or to a transfer switch—either manual or automatic.

The liquid-cooled diesel engine stays cooler during extended operation in hot weather. Cooler operation means a longer engine life. Operate the diesel generator all day on construction sites or throughout an event. A 200-hour maintenance interval means it can handle a month of 8-hour shifts between oil changes, or a whole week of 24/7 operation. Single-side maintenance for easy oil and filter changes.

Kubota Lowboy Generator

Kubota reduced the height of the Lowboy GL series Generator by using a vertical diesel engine direct coupled to the alternator at the rear of the engine. At the front, a pulley-belt arrangement drives the fan and water pump, and the battery charging alternator.

A single panel on the side of the generator provides easy access for all maintenance requirements. Through the access panel are the oil gauge, oil filter, oil fill tube, fuel filter, water tank, battery, and air cleaner. Kubota includes engine oil and coolant drain extensions to simplify and assist with on-time oil and coolant changes. The generator shuts down automatically for low oil conditions or high coolant temperatures.

The Norwall Kubota Lowboy Product Line includes three models: the GL14000, GL11000, and GL7000. Design features include an integrated fuel tank and a 2 or 3-cylinder diesel engine. Outlets have their own circuit breakers and the generator has a main breaker to protect from diesel generator overload.

Powered by a Kubota D902 3-cylinder water-cooled diesel with indirect injection and rated for 12kW and a maximum surge capacity of 14kW, the GL14000 120/240-Volt 60 Hertz single-phase generator has an integrated 9.6-gallon fuel tank for up to 15 hours run time at 25 percent load. The GL14000 includes Engine Shutdown for Low Oil Pressure, High Coolant Temps, Improper Charging, or High Engine Speed.

Kubota rates the GL11000 at 11kW standby power and 10kW prime power. This is a single phase, 120/240-Volt Generator rated at 83.3/41.7 amps. The D722 3-cylinder engine vertical liquid-cooled engine operates up to 12.7 hours at 25 percent load on the 7.4-gallon fuel tank.
