Kohler Generators GM90095-KP1-QS Details and Specifications
The Addition of a Kohler Emergency Stop Kit on 14 kilowatt RESA / RESAL and 20 kilowatt RESC / RESCL standby generators meets the new National Electrical Code Article 445.18(B) for an external, independent shutdown means for a Standby Generator’s engine (prime mover). After an external shutdown, the system must require a manual reset the generator will start.
Kohler’s Emergency Stop Kit includes all the components necessary to bring new and existing Kohler 14-kilowatt and 20-kilowatt standby generator installations into compliance with NEC Article 445.18(B).
Large Red Pushbutton with Yellow Decal installs on the exterior standby enclosure for compliance.

Emergency Stop Kit includes a premade Wiring Harness with a Large Red Pushbutton Switch wired with connectors, the Yellow Emergency Stop Decal, and Installation Instructions.
The Emergency Stop Kit Push Button mounts on the generator set cabinet.
Pressing the Emergency Stop Button causes the immediate shutdown of the generator engine and alternator (generator). The Generator controller displays a shutdown message after the button is pushed.
